Frida Botanicals CBD Tincture is a full spectrum extract from organic hemp, and includes other therapeutic ingredients from the hemp plant such as terpenes and other cannabinoids. Like all full-spectrum hemp extracts, it may contain trace amounts of THC (less than 0.3%).

This tincture is unflavored and has a mild, earthy flavor derivative of its natural plant-based origins, but if desired you can add a drop of peppermint essential oil to the bottle and make it minty fresh!

Our CBD is extracted from the hemp plant using a supercritical CO2 process in a GMP-certified facility, allowing us to offer you one of the cleanest forms of CBD extract possible. We also test our tincture in a third party lab to verify potency and test for any contaminants, including mycotoxins from mold. Click here for our latest COA (certificate of analysis) lab result.

  • What is CBD?
Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a non-intoxicating component of the cannabis plant with enormous therapeutic potential. Researchers are currently studying the effects of CBD on a wide range of conditions including chronic pain, insomnia, PTSD, anxiety, epilepsy, and more.

Are CBD products legal in all 50 states?
Laws around CBD are complex. CBD products are legal on a federal level as long as they are derived from hemp, not marijuana, and contain less than 0.3% THC. However restrictive state laws ban CBD shipments to the the following 6 states : Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Mississippi, New Hampshire, South Dakota.

What is the difference between hemp and marijuana?
Although both hemp and “marijuana” are technically variants of the Cannabis sativa plant, there are significant differences between them. Hemp is considered “industrial” under current regulations, and is defined as having less than 0.3% THC. Marijuana refers to cannabis sativa plants that have higher concentration of THC.

Does your CBD extract contain THC? Like all full-spectrum hemp extracts, it may contain trace amounts of THC (less than 0.3%). In our tests, the amount of THC has varied from 0% to 0.27 %. A link to our most recent testing results can be found in the product description.

Will CBD make me feel high?
Unless doses above our label recommendations are taken, there should be no euphoric or mind-altering effects.

Do you provide a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for CBD products?  Yes, our CBD products are tested by GreenLeaf Labs and they provide us with extensive testing results documenting that each batch contains exactly the specified amount of CBD, along with testing for contaminants and molds.

Will CBD help me with my [illness]?
Due to FDA regulations, we cannot make claims about whether or not our products can help with specific ailments. The products sold from this website are considered nutritional supplements or personal care products according to the FDA.

Will CBD extract influence the results of a drug test?
Most drug tests screen for the psychoactive compound THC, not Cannabidiol (CBD). However, full-spectrum hemp extracts such as ours may contain trace amounts of THC, so could cause a positive result. If you are concerned about trace THC affecting a drug test, we recommend finding a THC-free CBD product like this one.

    Is CBD safe?
According to the World Health Organization’s November 2017 report, CBD exhibits no abuse or dependence potential.

Will CBD interact with my other medications?
At high doses of CBD, it is possible that drug-herb interactions can occur. At lower doses of CBD, as suggested on our label, it is unlikely that significant drug-herb interactions will occur. However, always check with your personal health care practitioner before using this or any new supplement.

How long will my CBD oil last?  Once opened the oil will stay fresh for 3-4 months if kept refrigerated, and up to 8 weeks if kept at room temp. Unopened bottles can last up to 18 months.
